Workplace First Aid Training
Training your team — at your workplace, or ours.
Every employer in the UK has a legal duty to ensure their workforce has access to adequate first aid. Getting that right — the right qualification, for the right number of people, kept up to date — is something we can take entirely off your plate.

Based in Saltash and covering Devon and Cornwall, First Training delivers nationally accredited first aid qualifications to businesses of all sizes, across all sectors. Whether you need a single employee certified, a full team trained, or ongoing provision across multiple sites, we have a straightforward solution.
All of our instructors are Nuco-approved and deliver Ofqual and SQA regulated qualifications at Levels 1, 2 and 3 — fully satisfying the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Two Ways to Train
We know that pulling your team away from work isn’t always straightforward. That’s why we offer two simple options.
We Come to You
We’ll come to your premises and deliver the training on-site — in your boardroom, warehouse, staffroom, or wherever works best. In-house delivery means no travel time for your staff, no disruption to the working day, and practical scenarios tailored to your actual workplace environment. We can accommodate groups of any size and will work around your shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings and weekend sessions.
You Come to Us
Our training centre at Saltash Business Park is purpose-equipped for practical, hands-on first aid courses. Public courses run regularly throughout the year and are a great option for individuals, sole traders, or smaller businesses wanting to get someone qualified quickly. Joining a public course is also cost-effective if you only need one or two people trained at a time.
We offer flexible scheduling seven days a week, including evenings, early mornings and twilight sessions, to fit around any rota or shift pattern.
Your Legal Responsibility as an Employer

Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, all UK employers must carry out a first aid needs assessment and put “adequate and appropriate” provision in place for their employees. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) sets out what this means in practice.
Depending on the size, nature and risk level of your business, your obligations will typically include:
-
Having at least one trained First Aider or Appointed Person on site
-
Ensuring qualifications are renewed every three years
-
Providing a suitably stocked first aid kit
-
Ensuring first aid cover is available during all working hours
-
Displaying information about first aid arrangements to all staff
